Innalillah, IKA PMII chairman passes away

Innalillahi wainna ilaihi roji'un. Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Islamic Students Movement Alumni (IKA PMII), H Arief Mudatsir Mandan, died Monday (10/11) morning at around 05:45 pm. He died after undergoing treatment at OMNI hospital Alam Sutera BSD, Serpong, South Tangerang.<>

According to Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), H. Arvin Thoha, who is also a close friend of the late, Arief will reportedly be buried at the Tanah Kusir Cemetery South Jakarta on Tuesday at 08.00 am.

Dr H. Arief Mudatsir Mandan, M.Sc. was born in Jepara on 11 November 1956. In addition to becoming the chairman of IKA-PMII replacing H Ahmad Bagdja, he was also active as a politician of the United Development Party (PPP).

At NU, he served as director of the Nahdlatul Ulama Institute for Human Resources Studies and Development (Lakpesdam NU) and chairman of the Ansor Youth Movement. Arief was also chairman of the Forum Indonesia Satu that becomes a gathering place for alumni of PMII and has produced many works.
