Indonesian Islamic Students Association (PII) will have a meeting on April 9, 2014, with Bali provincial parliament to discuss headscarf ban at schools. <>
"We will meet with chairman of parliament after the legislative election. It is our second request," Azzahra said recently.
About 40 schools in Bali have banned their Muslim students from wearing the headscarves. They are junior high schools, senior high schools, and vocational schools.Â
The student association then sent letters as protests to governor of Bali, regional office of Ministry of Education and Culture, and regional parliament.Â
The National Commission on Human Rights is still trying to bring the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ministry of Education and Culture together to discuss the issue.Â
