Purbalingga's Ansor to carry out cadre regeneration

As part of implementing a great vision of Ansor, Chairman of the Purbalingga's Ansor Youth Movement carried out a cadre regeneration program and the strengthening of so-called Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) here over the weekend (16/10).
The programs held at the village hall of Candiwulan Kutasari District were participated by some six District Boards of Ansor boards in which each of the boards sent ten participants.
Chairman of the Purbalingga's Ansor, Ulil Archam asserted that the activity was a follow-up program following such programs as the Revitalization of Value and Tradition which had formerly been carried out by the district boards of Ansor.
The revitalization of value and tradition, Ulil added, was conducted by holding a religious gathering (majlis dzikir) and shalawat (the majestic recitation of praise on the Prophet Muhammad PBUH) in addition to synchronizing between religious practices and their bases.
All this, Ulil said, was because "there have now been efforts of requestioning and reconsidering NU long-standing traditions as heresies in addition to discrediting belief systems (creeds) having so far been upheld and preserved by the Indonesia's largest Muslim organization.
Ulils also called on all Ansor members to organize themselves and pay more attention to the imporatnce of maintaining the Aswaja teachings and cadre regeneration in dealing with any possible threat posed by parties that consider themseves as "true believers". (mkf)
